Do I need a developer to install this?
If you're comfortable installing WordPress plugins and themes, you can handle it yourself. We provide full installation and configuration documentation. If you'd rather have someone else handle it, our setup service covers everything.
What hosting do I need?
Any managed WordPress hosting will work — SiteGround, WP Engine, Flywheel, Kinsta, or similar. You need PHP 8.1+, WordPress 6.2+, and SSL (HTTPS) for Stripe payments. Most modern hosts meet these requirements by default.
Does the plugin work with my existing theme?
Yes — the Plugin Only license works with any well-coded WordPress theme. The plugin outputs standard HTML that inherits your theme's styles, with its own CSS layer for booking-specific components. Developer documentation is included.
How does Stripe work? Are there extra fees?
ReservePress integrates directly with your own Stripe account. You connect it with your API keys — we never touch your payments. Stripe's standard processing fees apply (typically 2.9% + 30¢), but ReservePress charges nothing on top.
Can I migrate from my current booking system?
Yes. If you have existing booking data you want to preserve, our setup and migration service can handle the transition. We'll work with you to import historical data and run both systems in parallel until you're ready to switch fully.

Does it sync with Booking.com and Airbnb?
Yes — ReservePress Hotels includes two-way iCal calendar sync with Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, TripAdvisor, and any other platform that supports the iCalendar standard. You paste your ReservePress export URL into Booking.com's calendar import settings (and vice versa), and availability stays in sync automatically every two hours. If you take a direct booking through your site, Booking.com picks it up on the next sync and blocks those dates. No double bookings, no manual calendar management.
Can I still list on Booking.com and Airbnb?
Absolutely — and you should. OTAs are excellent for discovery, especially for international guests. ReservePress doesn't replace them, it works alongside them. You keep your OTA listings for reach, add a direct booking option on your own site, and use iCal sync to keep all your calendars in sync. Direct bookings save you the 15–25% OTA commission — every guest who books direct puts more money in your pocket without you having to give up the exposure.
How many properties can I run on one license?
Each license covers one WordPress installation — one property. If you manage multiple properties or are an agency building for multiple clients, get in touch and we can discuss multi-site licensing options.
